Easter: Lasun Yussuf Tasks Christians On Sacrifice, Tolerance

As Christians all over the world celebrate Easter marking the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Labour Party candidate in the upcoming Osun state election, Rt Honourable Lasun Yussuf has charged Christians to imbibe the spirit of tolerance, peaceful co-existence and sacrifice for one another, stating that development and growth can only occur in the nation when all tribes and tongue unite in one voice.

Rt Honourable Lasun Yussuf in his Easter message said this year’s Easter has presents clear opportunity for Christians and Nigerians in general to make peace with one another as the only remedy to development.

He further said Easter as the solemnity of the celebration of highest sacrifice made by Christ by accepting to die for mankind should serve as reminder to all Christians in Osun state and Nigeria to make sacrifices for peace and unity of the nation by forgiving and healing all wounds.

He said in our collective efforts to develop as a nation, we must all rise above our differences, while calling on all Nigerians, to pray for divine intervention in the affairs of the nation, particular the frightening insecurity challenges facing the nation.

The governorship candidate of Labour Party also urged Christians and all residents of Osun State to use the occasion of Easter to pray for safety and well-being of the Armed forces and other security personnel assuring the safety of the citizens.
