Groups Give 48-Hour Ultimatum To Osun CP Over Extrajudicial Killings by Some Policemen
––Urge Police Authority To Fish Out Killer Policemen In Osun State

Amidst tears and sorrow the Organised civil society groups have given 48-hour ultimatum to the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Olawale Olokode to fish out some Police men that were involved in the extrajudicial killings of a 32-year-old Abiola Afolabi,Prince Saheed Olabomi and four other youths in the state.
Late Mr. Abiola Afolabi who was said to be a businessman during his live time and Prince Saheed Olabomi a cousin of Arabiji of Iragbiji, were alleged to have been murdered by some police men in osun state while going about their businesses.
The civil society groups along line youths in the state staged a protest on Friday after which Osun state police command reported the death of Abiola Afolabi and claimed that he was an armed robbery suspect.
Speaking with our correspondent on Saturday,the convener of Dialogue 360, Comrade Waheed Saka, expressed his dissatifaction over the spate of killings amongst the youths by some policemen in osun state and now urged the state Commissioner of police Mr. Olawale Olokode as a matter of urgency to Fish out some of his men who were involved in the killings.
Comrade Waheed in his affirmative statement said, “We held a meeting with the police commissioner of Osun State, Olawale Olokode in his office over the killing of Abiola Afolabi tagging him as an armed robber, Prince Saheed Olabomi and other innocent youths by his men, we issue 48-hour ultimatum to him to address the matter.
“We are afraid that if the police refuse to do the needful there may be massive protest that civil organization can not control in the state.”
In a related development, the Coordinator, Transparency Accountability Group (TAG), Comrade Ayo Ologun, while addressing the press in Osogbo the state capital,said Osun may witness a gigantic protest on Monday if the police Commissioner fail in his power to showcase the faces of some of his men who were alleged for killing innocent youths across the state.
He therefore plead with the CP to safeguard reoccurrence of the second face of ENDSARS Protest in Osun state and address all the issues tabled before him during the last meeting.
