Bandits Abduct Scores, Set Houses Ablaze In Three Jos Communities
Bandits on Sunday attacked villages in Kanam Local Government Area of Plateau State, setting houses on fire after abducting several others.
A source, who disclosed this to DAILY POST, named the attacked communities as Kukawa, Gyanbahu, Dungur and Keram villages.
He said several people were killed in those communities on Sunday, adding that, several properties were also burnt.
Confirming the incident on Sunday, Mr Adam Musalawa, a resident of Kukawa village, said that many people were also injured in the attack.
According to him, following the attack, several residents have fled their homes.
He added that security operatives were unavailable during the attack, thereby giving the bandits free time to operate.
ASP Ubah Gabriel, the spokesperson of the state police command, did not respond to calls and text messages sent to him.
