2023: YPF Seeks Support For Ahmed Tinubu’s Presidential Ambition In Osun

The Yoruba Progressive Forum ( YPF) , a sociocultural group , has called for the concerted efforts of market men and women in Osun, to help in actualising the presidential ambition of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Mr Olalekan Lateef popularly called Asiri Ede , the Group’s Coodinator , said this during a visit to the National Association of Market Men and Women, Osun Chapter , in Osogbo on Monday.

Lateef explained that the YPF had been engaging stakeholders across the country including prominent traditional rulers especially in the southwest as regard Tinubu ambition to become Nigeria’s president .

He said some of the founding fathers of the ruling political party in the country , All Progressive Congress (APC) have been reached to preach the political message to them .

According to him, members of the group had recently visited the palace of the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari ( CFR ) , to solicit support for Tinubu.

The coordinator further said members of the group acknowledged the significant roles of the market men and women in the development of the society.

He noted that Yorùbá tribe have been agitating to become the president for the past 30 years ;hence, the need to rally round Ahmed Tinubu becomes paramount in order to succeed president Muhammadu Buhari .

” We decide to convene this meeting with you as part of the programmes we had designed to celebrate the 70th birthday anniversary of APC National leader.

“We want your support for him to accomplish his presidential ambition. We shouldn’t allow the scenario that occurred in 1993 to repeat itself.

“This time around, Yoruba People need to rally round their man. We should ensure his victory after securing the ticket on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC),” he said

Speaking on state of affairs in Osun , Lateef urged Residents to continue to support Gov. Gboyega Oyetola and also ensured he emerges victorious in the coming July 16 Election.

” Gov. Oyetola has done tremendously well ;hence, the need for the good work to continue in the state becomes sacrosanct. ”

Earlier , the Babaloja General of Osun, Mr David Iyiola, appreciated members of YPF for deeming it necessary to visit them.

Iyiola, said they would do everything within their reach, so to convince people around them to support Tinubu to attain his lifetime ambition.
