Osun PDP Welcomes Hundreds Of APC Members In Oba-Oke As Party Holds Interdenominational Prayers

Osun State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party on Sunday, 2nd of January began the new year on a cheering note as hundreds of Apc members in Oba-Oke in Olorunda local government formally decamped to the fold of the PDP. Reception for the new members held in the ancient town was the first major activity of the PDP in the year 2022.

Customary of the party, interdenominational prayers were earlier offered by islamic and Christian clerics, who sought the face of Almighty God for peace, progress and victory for the PDP in the Governorship Election coming up in the course of the year.

Led by Messrs Yaya Adeyemi, Busari Ismail, Odegoke Kehinde and other notable Apc bigwigs in the ancient town, the new members promised to work with other PDP members to dismantle what they termed as wicked reign of Apc in Osun State.

Osun PDP Chairman, Hon Sunday Bisi congratulated the new members for their love for Osun State State and their vision to abandon the sinking ship of Apc in Osun State. He described their decision to leave Apc as courageous and patriotic, saying, no right thinking person would fancy voting for Apc again in Osun considering magnitude of damage the party had done to the state.

The colourful event was attended by array of PDP leaders in the state including members of the State Working Committee, former PDP Chairman in the state, Alhaji Ayobami Olaoluwa, the Osun Central Senatorial PDP leader, Hon Tunde Abesin, Alhaji Rasak Oyetunji, PDP Chairman in Olorunda local government, Hon Nathaniel Ojetola, his counterparts in Osogbo and Irepodun local governments, Hon Sikiru Kolapo and Hon Saka Adeyi respectively and several other stalwarts of the party in the State.
