He said: “I was in my office in the third floor and I started hearing gunshots and the first thing I did strictly is that I took cover.

“The shorts kept coming continuously non-stopped for almost seven to ten minutes. I took cover and I started calling my people one by one not to go outside.”

He further narrated: “And immediately after the shots stopped I came out to ascertain the things that have been destroyed. I saw that the building side glass has been vanfdalised with gun bullets.

“I saw something burning there too I moved closer and it was discovered that breads were apparently soaked in a substance that can ignite.

“This place was burning and some other things. I have to call the first service because they shot at this transformer thinking that it would exploded maybe there intention was to burn this place down. This is not the first time they would attack us. They did the same thing last year.

When asked about who did he suspect, Sadiq said: I didn’t not suspect anybody. All what I know is that we have written several petitions to the Commissioner Of Police. We have various cases of attacks. We have attacks in Ife North Local Government. We have attacks in Ife East Local Government. We were attacked during our Congress, where we had our state Congress . We have have mentioned names and up till now no single arrest was made.

“Osun State Commissioner of Police has compromised. I say it in the open he has compromised because when we write a petition to the police they should act on it. They have not done a single thing. So I’m saying it laud and clear the Commissioner of Police , Osun State is compromised” he emphasized.

“Somebody was hit in the proces, Babatunde Sunday Oriowo. He was shot around the shoulder. We have taken him to the hospital.

“It’s unfortunate. We are not safe in this state . It means as a party man you cannot hear your views

“We fought for this mandate in this state. We knew what we went through between 2005/2007 before we got the mandate to be here.
