Again, Klick Konnect Employs 50 revenue monitoring officers
As part of its efforts towards reducing the high rate of unemployment and to boost economy of the state, Ondo-based consultant firm, Klick Konnect Networks, have again employed another set of 50 youths as revenue officers in the state.
Recall that the consultant firm, had last week engaged over 7000 farmers on cassava revolution programme across the 18 Local Government Areas of the state.
Sunday Olatigbe, the Principal Consultant to Klick Konnect Networks while addressing the newly employees said their duty was to monitor the activities of forest reserve users in other not to allow encroachers.
According to him, the revenue officers must make sure anybody that enters the government forest reserve have valid paper.
“They are not allowed to receive money from anyone, no room for encroachment, you must do your job very well, be a good ambassador of the company, you must not collect bribe and they should report any strange activities to the police,” he said.
Olatigbe, however, said the revenue officers would soon be deployed to each Local Government Area of the state.
Speaking in the same vein, Adeoye Akeredolu, who spoke on behalf of the Ministry of Natural Resources at the event advised the revenue officers to use the opportunity well and ensure not to take laws into their hands.
Akeredolu, who also read out the Ministry rule and regulations to them said the purpose why they were employed was to sanitize the reserve areas.
He said, “you must not allowed encroachment from neighboring state, and that’s why Klick Konnect employ you in order to sanitize the reserve area. Anybody that wants to plant new Cocoa, felling of milaina tree, teak and fish farmers must have valid papers from the Ministry of Natural Resources.
“Anyone caught without this valid papers must be arrested and such person will be prosecuted accordingly. If government is happy, definitely we are also going to be happy.”
