Osun OPC Coordinator, Olojongbodu Expresses Worry Over Spate Of Insecurity

Osun State Coordinator, Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), Alhaji Leke Akintayo, popularly known as Olojongbodu has condemned the abduction of the students, teachers and others from the Government Science Secondary School, Kagara in Rafi Local Government area of Niger State by the bandits on Wednesday.

In a statement issued and made available to journalists in Osogbo on Thursday, Akintayo called on the federal government to urgently adopt a way of securing the abducteds tudents and others.

He expressed worry over the spate of kidnapping and other forms of criminal activities in the country and called on President Muhammad Buhari to urgently fish out the people behind the ugly situation and bring them to book.

Akintayo said the issue of banditry and kidnapping in the country needed urgent attention in order for the county to be in total peace for all.

The OPC leader also called for holistic approach in the quest to end security challenges in the country.

He urged Nigerians particularly the stakeholders and security agencies to partner with the Odua Peoples’ Congress, (OPC) in the fight against the scourge.

Akintayo tasked the government and the citizens to remain committed to the peace and unity of the country pledging the readiness of the OPC to partner the government in combating the scourge of insecurity in Nigeria.
