Osun APC Congress: IleriOluwa Movement Congratulates Famoodun, Others

The IleriOluwa Movement in the State of Osun has congratulated Prince Gboyega Famoodun on his reelection to pilot the affairs of the party for another four years.

The movement which was the platform on which Governor Adegboyega Oyetola rode to power, described the emergence of Famoodun as a pointer to his steadfastness and unflinching commitment to the progressive leaning over time.

Prince Gboyega Famoodun was once the State Secretary of the party, after which he rose to the chairmanship position of the party till the period of Saturday congress where he was unanimously elected again for another four years by the delegates.

In a congratulatory message of IleriOluwa Movement signed by its Director General, Hon. Israel Ajibola Famurewa, Famoodun was inundated to see his victory as another call to employ his pool of experience, leadership skills and intellectual prowess in managing the party affairs for the purpose of formidability, unity and progress.

Famoodun was charged to precipitate a fertile ground through interest harmonization, conflict resolution and reconciliatory move among party members which would facilitate a re-emergence of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola to pilot the state affairs for another four years, for the sustainable continuity of progressive governance.

The statement read in parts, “It’s believed that the reelection of Famoodun is not by accident but a well-thought out decision of the party faithful which was hinged on the realization of his capacity, progressive tenets and untainted experience which could be deployed to stabilize the party for future gains.

“The capacity of Famoodun cannot be doubted for having successfully overseen a one big family of the state APC which have experienced succession of governors and the emergence of several members of national and state assemblies. With this, his long-standing astute leadership cannot be downplayed.

“This victory should be adequately used to develop internal mechanism targeted towards mending the broken bricks within the party, although the circumstance is always expected and a beauty of democracy which always proceeds the efforts towards forming a strong structure and united force for a common goal.”

The movement however, urged all party faithful to work in unison in the best interest of the party, and to rally their support round the governor for the perpetuation of the socioeconomic development currently being enjoyed in the state.

The body also felicitated its former coordinator of Ife East Local Government, Hon. Tajudeen Lawal on his emergence as the new State Deputy Chairman of the party, while urging him to work in synergy with the Chairman in the efforts to reposition the party.

Other newly elected party excos were equally congratulated and further entreated to support the Chairman by working together as an impenetrable team for the stability and progress of the party.
