NACETEM To Host National Workshop On Technical And Vocational Education And Training

The National Centre for Technology Management (NACETEM) will host a national workshop on ‘Redirecting Technical and Vocational Education and Training for Local Content Capacity and Wealth Creation in Nigeria’ on Tuesday, 20th April and Wednesday, 21st April, 2021 in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.

NACETEM is an Agency of the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology saddled with the responsibility of training middle-to-high-level manpower in science, technology and innovation management. The Agency carries out this assignment through seminars, workshops, conferences and short-term courses.

The workshop which will feature seasoned professionals and erudite scholars shall address issues such as ‘Developing Industry-ready Technical Skilled Manpower for Sustainable Industrial Development’; ‘Redirecting Technical and Vocational Curriculum and Content Optimization in tangent with Global Trends’; ‘Harnessing Innovation and Entrepreneurship Opportunities in the Local Content Act and Presidential Executive Order 5’, among other topical discourse.

The workshop is open to the general public and it is part of the Agency’s numerous ways of providing critical knowledge support in the area of science, technology and innovation management.

NACETEM through this platform hopes to unravel how to tap into the myriad of opportunities in Technical and Vocational Education and Training with a view to creating jobs and wealth in the country.
