NACETEM To Host Government-Industry-Academia Linkages Workshop

National Centre for Technology Management (NACETEM) will host Government-Industry-Academia Linkages workshop on Wednesday, 24th March and Thursday, 25th March, 2021.

This is contain in a statement signed by Mr Isaac Oluyi, NACETEM Public Relations Officer and made available to CityMirrorNews in Osogbo on Monday.

The workshop according to Oluyi is designed primarily to bridge the wide gap among the main actors in National Innovation System as well as promote synergy in Science, Technology and Innovation and job creation for national development.

As part of the Agency’s plans to bring cutting edge knowledge aimed at building capacity of middle-to-high level manpower in science, technology and innovation management, it has a lot of seminars, workshops and conferences lined up to hold on Zoom. This is one of its ways of reaching out to Nigerians during this ‘new normal’ occasioned by COVID-19 pandemic.

NACETEM held a ground-breaking workshop on Science Diplomacy on Tuesday, 9th March and Wednesday, 10th March, 2021. The workshop had over 500 registered participants, with almost 200 attending each session.

The GIA Linkages workshop coming up next week will have the Honorable Minister of State for Science and Technology, Barrister Abdulahi Mohammed, as the Keynote Spesker. This workshop, no doubt, promises to challenge the key actors in National Innovation System to come together and leverage on the existing technology and innovation to bring about sustainable development in Nigeria.
