Bakery Worker Arraigned For Allegedly Stealing N2.1m In Osogbo

Osun state police command on Tuesday arraigned a 24- year-old man, Ahmed Fadulilahi, before a Magistrate’s court sitting in Osogbo for allegedlly stealing over N2,117,850.
The accused person who is facing a one count charge of stealing two million, one hundred and seventeen thousand, eight hundred and fifty (2,117,850), from Captain cook Bakery Osogbo, pleaded not guilty to the allegations slammed against him.
The prosecutor, A.S. P Adekoge Taiwo said that the defendant, at the time of the incident, was a worker at Captain cook Bakery stores.
He further stressed that the defendant committed the offence in the month of December, 2020 in Osogbo.
He also noted that the offence committed contravened section 390 (9) (6), of the criminal code cap 34 Vol. 2 of the Laws of Osun state Nigeria 2002.
The defence counsel, B.O Odutola, prayed the court grant his client bail, in most liberal terms.
However, Adegoke told the court he would not oppose the bail application because the management of the Bakery Store had already filed for a settlement.
In his ruling, Magistrate Ishola Omishade, granted bail of 1 million naira with two sureties.
He thereafter adjourned the case till March 24, 2021 for mention.
