Osogbo Chief Imam Debunks Endorsement Of Chairmanship Aspirant In Osogbo

The Chief Imam of Osogboland, Sheik Musa Animashaun has cleared the air on the news making round that the league of Imams has endorsed a chairmanship aspirant for Osogbo South LCDA.

The Imam also disclosed that the league does not have a Public Relations Officer for Osogbo and Olorunda.

According to the release the person that endorsed the particular aspirant is the PRO of of Ratibi Imam in Isale Osun, adding that he doesn’t have the right to speak on behalf of the league of Imams and Alfa of Osogbo and Olorunda.

“The attention of the League of Imam and Alfas in Osogbo and State of Osun under the able leadership of Sheik Musa Animashaun has been drawn to a publication currently circulating on social media that the league of Imam and Alfas in Osogbo and Olorunda has endorsed a chairmanship aspirant for Osogbo South LCDA, which has compelled the us to respond so as to correct the misrepresentations and misinformation contained therein.

“In the publication. It was alleged that, league of Imam and Alfas in Osogbo and Olorunda has endorsed a chairmanship aspirant for Osogbo South.

“We wish to inform the general public that the league of Imam and Alfas didn’t have PRO in Osogbo and Olorunda we only have PRO in the State not in Local Government, the person that endorsed a particular Chairmanship aspirant for Osogbo South LCDA only speak on behalf of Ratibi mosques in Isale-osun not even Osogbo South because we also have ratibi in Popo Osogbo and is part of Osogbo South and the person that endorsed a chairmanship aspirant in Osogbo South, is only a PRO of Ratibi mosques Imam in Isale-Osun and he don’t have any right to speak on behalf of the league of Imam and Alfas in Osogbo and Olorunda.

“In view of the foregoing, we would like to inform the general public that the publication is to bring the league of Imam and Alfas into public odium, obloguy, infamy, scandal, scorn and contempt.

“We however urge the promoters of the said publication to henceforth stop publishing news that can damage the reputation of the league of Imam and Alfas in Osogbo and State of Osun in general.
