Ajipe Mourns Akeredolu’s CoP
By Niyi Olutunde, Akure
The convener of IBI GIGA AMBASSADORS, Chief Alex Ajipe has described the sudden death of the Chief of Protocols to Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, Tosin Ogunbodede as sad and painful one.
Ajipe in a statement personally issued by him in Akure, the state capital on Sunday described Ogunbodede as a kind man and someone who rose and transcended the circumstances of his birth to become the Chief of Protocol to His Excellency, Akeredolu.
Ajipe said, “Tosin loved, and was loved by his people, and he shot up like a star, because of his diligence, his attention to detail, the beautiful workings and the versatility of his mind and his administrative ingenuity.
“A true grassroot politician and an amiable man, he will be missed by his admirers and friends, the entire Isuada and Owo people, the Ondo State Governor, and this government which he has added immense value to.
“The pain of being stolen whilst your light is just beginning to shine can only be imagined, and I can feel but a small fraction of what his immediate family and the entire government of Ondo State feel at the moment. This is sad, heartbreaking even, but we must take comfort, and trust that he is in a place free of pains, worries and the travails of this ephemeral life.
“I commiserate with the beautiful family that my egbon “broda Tosin” has left behind. Please take courage in knowing that he lives in you and through you, and that he impacted you with his virtue and values during the little but glorious life he lived whilst on this earth.”
