Security Guard Remanded Over Alleged Assault In Osun

A 33-year-old security man, Wasiu Ogundipe has been remanded by an Osogbo Magistrates’ Court over alleged assault.
The accused person committed the offence in March 29 ,2021 around 9:50pm at Aloha Hotel , Mallan Tope area in osogbo .
The prosecutor, Inspector Temitope Fatoba told the court that the defendant conspired with others now at large to assault on one Olatunji Quadri by hitting him with stick and cutlass on the head and sustained injury.
The offence committed is contrary to and punishable under Sections 365, 516 of Criminal Code CAP 34 Vol 11 Law of Osun State of Nigeria 2002.
The accused person pleaded not guilty to the two count charge leveled against him.
Counsel to the defendant, S.O Abiona urged the court to grant his client in the most liberal terms.
The Magistrate, A .A Adeyeba remanded the accused person at Ilesa Correctional Centre.
The case was adjourned till April 7, 2021 for ruling on bail.
