Ramadan: Osun Chief Whip Urges Muslims To Seek God’s Intervention Against Covid-19
As Nigeria Muslims join their counterparts world over to observe this year’s Ramadan fasting, the Chief Whip of the State of Osun House of Assembly, Mr Tunde Olatunji has urged faithful not to be deterred in their faith, but to intercede on behalf of the mankind against the Corona virus.
In a statement of congratulations to the Muslim Ulamahs on the fast,the Legislator who represents Ife North Constituency appealed to Muslims faithful to use the period of the sobber reflection to seek the face of the almighty Allah to show mercy to mankind and wipe away the scourge before the end of the Holy month.
He called on leaders of various Islamic denominations and organisations to harp it on their followers the need to obey government directives and global health precautions on lockdown, social distancing and other hygienic practices as inevitable measures to tame the growing tide of COVID-19 in Nigeria.
“Let me congratulate our dear Muslim brothers and sisters across the State for the grace to see and observe another Ramadan, while also appealing to them to pray for the state Governor. Mr Gboyega Oyetola to succeed and achieve his good intentions for our dear state.”
