DG BOSS Harps On COVID 19 Protection Amid Yuletide
State Government OF Osun has called on the residents and visitors to the State to take RESPONSIBILITY for their personal protection as they join the rest of the rest world in celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
This call was made by the Director General of the Bureau of Social Services BOSS, MR. Richard Tinubu in a press statement issued to felicitate Christians and non Christians in the state on the occasion of this year’s Christmas and new year celebrations.
According to the DG, the State Government remains committed to the protection of lives from the coronavirus pandemic that is widely spreading in it’s second wave.
Mr. Tinubu congratulated residents of the state and Nigerians in general for surviving the twin ugly disasters of covid-19 pandemic and the #EndSARS protests that nearly grounded the nation to her knees.
While wishing them a merry Christmas and happy new year 2021, Mr. Tinubu enjoined members of the public to prioritize their personal protection against coronavirus pandemic by wearing their face masks at all times and avoiding unnecessary gathering before, during and after the yuletide.
He used the occasion to appeal to parents and guardians to take good care of their children and wards during the Christmas and new year holiday period.
The DG, BOSS equally admonished people to avoid unnecessary journeys, wash their hands with soap and water regularly and maintain social distancing saying that clustering together in a crowd could aggravate the spread of the second wave of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
