Ondo Guber: ‘Lekeleke Movement’ Declare Support For Akeredolu Re-Election

Ahead of the October 10 governorship election in Ondo state, ‘Lekeleke Movement’ on Friday declared their support for the re-election bid of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, saying with his volume of achievement, there was no reason anybody should contest against him.

The leader of the group Hon. Malumi Dolapo who led the team to meet with the Convener of ‘IBI GIGA AMBASSADOR’ in Akure, said they are committed to the victory of the governor at the poll.

Lekeleke Movement is the platform of one of leading aspirant in the just concluded APC primary in Ondo state, Hon. Isaac Kekemeke.

Hon. Malumi said the group after days of consultations with the stakeholders an their leader, they resolved to work together with Ibi Giga Ambassador in other to win the governorship election for the party candidate.

“We are here to join you in working together to achieve success in the coming election. Ibi Giga Ambassador is a voice of the voiceless who stand for peace and has achieved in many areas in the state especially in the re-election bid of the governor, So we believe that working together with you will give sound victory for the party in the October poll”.

“We have discussed with our boss, Hon Isaac Kekemeke who is one of the aspirant in the just concluded primary of our party. And he has given us his words to form an alliance with you so that we can achieve success together”. He said.

Also speaking at the programme, the former APC youth leader in the state Com. Ayodele Olawale described the Convener of Ibi Giga Ambassador, Chief Alex Ajipe as a grassroot politician and entrepreneur who has distinguish himself in all areas.

Responding, Chief Alex Ajipe thanked the group for coming out to support governor Akeredolu for second term in office pleading with them to work genuinely for the party and not after the money.

Ajipe described Ibi Giga Ambassador as a political group that is working for the re-election of governor Rotimi Akeredolu due to his achievement

According to him, the achievement of the governor in the last three and half years prompt him to create the group which have members across all the local government of the state with the focus of winning the election for the governor.

“I want you to work for the success of our party, that’s our target. We don’t share money here, all our members from Unit level to the State level are party loyalist who are working day and night for the success of our party in the coming governorship election. We are the leaders of tomorrow, we are taken over soon, that’s the target of this group”.

“I can boldly says we have not gotten any cash from the governor, because that’s not reason why we are here, we support his reelection due to his achievement in office for the last three and half years, and we believe if given another term, he will perform more”. Ajipe said.
