Owo Poly Applauds TETfund’s Intervention, As Institution Receives Items Worth Millions Of Naira

The Management of the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo, Ondo State, says in it’s bid to ensure that RUGIPO stands tall in the comity of polytechnics, the Council and its dynamic management through a robust relationship with TETfund has received various items of modern furniture’s, desktop computers and a Toyota Hilux SR 5,2019 edition worth millions of Naira.

The Tertiary Education Trust Fund, otherwise known as TETfund, was established by the federal government in 1986.

The Management through its Public Relations Officer, Mr. Samuel Ojo said its became necessary to open the eyes of the public to the landmark and unique contributions and achievements of the institution.

Ojo who described RUGIPO as a centre of Excellence, noted that “institution has achieved some of the good dreams of the visitor to the institution, Arakunrin Odunayo Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) as RUGIPO is one of the 3 Polytechnics as centres of excellence for massive infrastructural development”.

According to him, “it would be recalled that barely 2 weeks ago, the institution was rated as one of the best 10 Polytechnics in Nigeria by the National Board for Technical Education; needless to say that RUGIPO has become a bride of place for admission seekers and for skill acquisition programmes, thus, it is an institution for excellence”.

He noted that, “the dynamism of our amiable visitor,visionary Governing Council and a resourceful management the dreams of Arakunrin Odunayo Akeredolu (SAN) is turned to reality and has been earning them encomiums within and outside the Polytechnic Community
Kudos to the authority for impactful leadership”.

He however called for more donations and collaboration with TETfund in order to take the institution to it’s apogee.
