Map out a turnaround blue-print for your second term in office, APC chieftain tasks Gov. Akeredolu
By Niyi Olutunde, Akure
A chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Moyosola Oladunni, has tasked Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to map out a blue-print that would turnaround the fortune of the state and the people for his second term in office.
Oladunni, also a gubernatorial aspirant in 2015 in Ondo state stated this on Friday while fielding questions from newsmen in Akure, the state capital.
The APC chieftain who also lamented the absence of structured planning by the Governor Akeredolu’s led administration said this has contributed to the increase in the high level of poverty in the state.
According to him, if a government ran on a structured planning and have strong positive impacts on the life of the people, the citizenry would not be forced to perform their civic responsibilities including payment of taxes.
He emphasised on the importance of structured planning to socio-economic development of any society, noting that Governor Akeredolu was only working on his personal ideas.
“A system that is well structured and planned would need not forcing people to pay tax or taxes through their nose. Once the system is well structured, people must be willing to pay and not by force.
“As an indigene of the state, and an expert in the field of infrastructure development, it is a clear thing that the state has no structured planning, which has added to the untold hardship on the people,” Oladunni said.
