Another chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party in Osun State and Field Officer of Idera De Movement from Oriade Local Government area of the state, Hon. Busayo Akinsuyan has said that he regarded the inclusion of his name as one of the parties behind a press conference purportedly addressed by former field officers of Dr Akin Ogunbiyi with detestation.

Expressing his disappointment on Friday, Hon. Busayo said that inclusion of his name and signature in support of a claim that Ogunbiyi’s field officers joined Ademola Adeleke political base was a desperation taken too far.

It would be recalled that one Awosiyan Kingsley had at a press conference held in Osogbo yesterday claimed to speak on behalf of ‘Former coordinators/ Field Officer/Apex Members of Dr Akin Ogunbiyi’s Idera De Movement’ in all the local government council areas in Osun State.

Kingsley was quoted as saying, ”gentlemen of the press, you are welcome to this occasion meant to tell the whole world of our resolve to dump the operation arm of the former governorship aspirant of our party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr Akin Ogunbiyi, in the last general elections in our state.”

”We are saying it here loud and clear to the outside world that having weighed all available options, we have decided to change our political platform within our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party, to IMOLE DE MOVEMENT under the leadership of Senator Ademola Adeleke. With this our press conference, we are telling everyone that we have, as from this moment henceforth, ceased to be the co-ordinators of Idera De Movement in our respective local government councils.”

However, Hon. Busayo rejected the claim and wondered why his name and signature were included. “This is simply disgusting. I have not for once attended a meeting with them and never gave my consent to be a part of their movement. I am surprised when I saw my name and signature on the list presented by Kingsley and his cohorts.”

“They should count me out and focus on the pot of honey they are eyeing. I abhor forgery and anything that is driven by selfish interest. My support for Dr Akin Ogunbiyi, as well as my stand with Idera De Movement, remains unshaken.”

In the same vein, Engr. Adesewo frankie, a PDP House of Assembly Candidate during the 2018 election, from Ilesha East LG whose name and signature also appeared on the list had kicked press conference, saying: “as an adult, while Kingsley is entitled to his opinion and is absolutely free to express himself and make any decision he deems fit, dragging my name into it and forging my signature to give credibility to this political escapade and induced move is nonsensical and unacceptable.

“In strong term, I condemn the inclusion of my name and forgery of my signature in support of the press conference I know not about. Over the years, I have invested a lot in building my name. I have no business or interest in fueling the unfortunate crisis within our party. To me, united we stand and divided we fall. By God’s grace, I am contended and will continue to carry out my activities with the fear or God.”

“This disclaimer is consistent with my political and personal resolve. And, going forward, I shall not hesitate to seek redress in the court of law if my name or signature is further forged to sign any document I know not about.”
