Police Promote 19 Senior Officers In Ondo

Eighteen senior officers of the Ondo state police including the Public Relations Officer of the command, Mr. Femi Joseph have been promoted and decorated to the next ranks.

The officers were decorated in their new positions on Friday at the command officers mess in Akure, the state capital.

Speaking at the ceremony, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Undie Adie lauded the Inspector General of police for the promotion.

Adie described the promotion as a challenge and a source of motivation to boost the morale of the officers in their various designations.

He therefore advised them to live up to expectations, adding that their dispositions must be good representation of the Nigeria Police Force.

Femi Joseph, who was until his new promotion, was a Superintendent of Police, has been promoted to the rank of a Chief Superintendent of Police.

Two among the 18 officers were promoted from Chief Superintendent of Police(CSP) to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police(ACP).
They are Akande Tajudeen and Bernard Ojewale, the current Divisional Police Officer of Osi in Akure North local government area of the state.

Responding on behalf of the newly promoted officers, Bernard Ojewale, an Assistant Commissioner of Police, appreciated the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu and Police Service Commission for approving their promotions.

Ojewale also appreciated the state Commissioner of Police for recommending them for promotions, noting that their promotions wouldn’t have been possible if he had not recommended them.

The newly promoted Assistant Commissioner of Police expressed joy in their new feat, saying “We are elated and this is one of the ways to boost the morale of officers to give their best.”
