IDM Congratulates Aregbesola, Tells Minister To Redeem Himself

An Osun State-based social-political organisation, Idera de Movement, IDM, has congratulated the immediate past governor of the state, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola on his inauguration as a Minister of Interior with an admonition to redeem himself by discharging his responsibilities in the best interest of Nigerian masses.

This was contained in a press release signed on behalf of the group and made available to pressmen in Osogbo, the capital of the state by Kunle Omolere on Wednesday.

IDM implored Aregbesola to turn a new leaf and shun obnoxious policies capable of portraying the state in a bad light at the national political scene, noting further that the former governor has been handed an opportunity to redeem himself and that he should make a good use of it.

Revealing that the minister’s activities would be subjected to public scrutiny, the group noted that the pains and suffering inflicted on Osun masses when Aregbesola was the state governor is still fresh in the minds of the people.

“While we congratulate His Excellency, Mr Aregbesola on his appointment, we wish to state with all sense of humility and responsibility that he should restrain from embarking on another round of ‘cosmetic projects’ and obnoxious policies with no clear implementation plans and direct impact on the masses, ” the group stated.
