Group Organises Roundtable Discussion To X-ray Inclusiveness Of Youth In 2019 General Elections

A developmental group, the Centre for Sustained Dialogue (CSD, Nigeria) is organising a maiden edition of a Roundtable discussion which to have a critical x-ray on the involvement of the Youth in Politics and the challenges facing them in just concluded 2019 General elections.

It will be recalled that Dialogue 365 Nigeria is a Citizen/Public engagement platform of the Centre for Sustained Dialogue (CSD, Nigeria).

This Platform brings together diverse perceptions on issue of concerns and comes out with a policy statement for the development of the society.

In a statement issued by the Chief Strategist of the group, Comrade Waheed Saka in Osogbo reveals that there is a need for honest discussion on the challenges facing the politically conscious youth in the society.

According to Comrade Waheed the event that will hold at Correspondents’ Chapel of Nigeria Union of journalists in osogbo, on Thursday 18th, April this year will be discussing the breaking into political leadership of the country by the Youth and the urgent need to educate the interested youth in politics.

“The platform is the public/ citizens engagement platform that seeks to answer question of core interest until there is no question without answer.” He said.

According to Comrade Saka, this roundtable discussion is the maiden edition that the group Organised to have interaction with the youth and other critical stakeholders in the state.

The centre for Sustained Dialogue(CSD, Nigeria) said the centre will continually organise programmes and events that will change and improve youth mentality and orientation toward party politics and politicking.

Some the dignitaries expected at the roundtable discussion includes, the chairman House Committee of Land, Urban and Physical development in Osun House of Assembly, Hon. Nureni Adebisi Debo, Honourable elect, Obokun state constituency, Hon. Adewumi Adeyemi Irekandu. Others includes University lecturers, Dr. Barr. Wasiu Oyedokun- Alli of Federal University Oye- Ekiti, Ekiti State and Mr Azeez Taofeek of Kassesat University Bangkok, Thailand, Engr Ogundipe Maaroof, Mr Segun Amure and Educationists and Motivational speaker, Olaoluwa Onifade Esq. among others.
