Osun Speaker, Owoeye Felicitates With Muslim Faithful On Eid-el-Maulud
The Speaker, State of Osun House of Assembly, RT. Hon. Timothy Owoeye has congratulated Muslim faithful and Nigerians on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Maulud.
He enjoined them to live within the virtues and teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), which are; love, courage and perseverance.
Owoeye in a congratulatory statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Kunle Alabi held that living within the teachings of the Prophet would guarantee enduring peace, stability and the desired development and progress needed in the state of the virtuous.
He expressed confidence that the seventh Assembly under his leadership will do the needful to ensure that the campaign promises of the All Progressives Congress APC led administration in the state are achieved now that House standing committees are in place.
The speaker therefore called on people of the state to remain focused and determined.
“It is in the atmosphere of peace that development can take place, we must all strive to emulate the teachings of the Prophet, by so doing we will be allowing peace in all facets of our lives and a better Osun and Nigeria.
“With the constitution of House standing Committees, the seventh Assembly will leave no stone unturned at ensuring that our people enjoy life abundantly. We will never be found wanting in our oversight functions”
Owoeye restated legislature’s desire to ensure a people and result oriented legislation for the overall well being of the citizenry urging all to pursue love with one another in line with the teachings of Prophet Muhammad.
The Speaker prayed for the unity, progress, and prosperity of Muslims in Osun, Nigeria and around the world.
