Sustain Peace In Oyo -Mrs Ajimobi

Wife of the outgoing governor of Oyo State and Initiator of Women Intercessory Network WIN), c v Deaconess Florence Ajimobi has called on the new government stepping in on May 29 to ensure that the security of lives and property of residents of the state receives its priority attention.

“We shall continue to pray for the success of this new government.I have faeith that the good Lord who assisted Governor Ajimobi’s administration to restore peace and sustain it in the State during our tenure will be merciful to continue with the new administration.

“Before we came in ,Oyo State has almost become an hobbesian state with thugs and hooligans killing people indiscriminately because of the inordinate ambition of some selfish politicians ,She recalled.

Mrs Ajimobi said that immediately her husband assumed power in 2011,his first assignment was restoration of peace and harmony adding “that brought an end to the era of brigandage and lawlessness in the state.”

She pointed out that since nothing is permanent in life but change,he was optimistic that the change of government was expected to bring improvement on what her husband was able to achieve.

The First Lady who was interacting with First Lady’s Press Crew in Ibadan after her 60 th Birthday Anniversary, said that She was grateful unto God for his benevolence and mercy on her family in the almost last seven years in power

She advised the incoming government to encourage prayer and put God first in all its programmes and activities.

“Each time I go round the state capital and some parts of the state,I always unconsciously say God bless the Governor of this state forgetting that he is my husband.We were able to achieve so much because of the power of God Almighty who we look unto as the author and finsher of our faith,Mrs Ajimobi stated.

Mrs Ajimobi declared that her family came to the government House with few family members pointing out that God blessed her family more than her expectations.

In a vote of thanks by Elder Olusakin Babalola,Mrs Ajimobi was described as an embodiment of humility,philantropy and godliness who had impacted many lives in the state through her WIN and health programmes

He urged the first Lady to keep up with her good work in order to live the society better than she met it.

The news men rendered birthday songs with chorus and unison and took photographs with the celebrant.
