Oluwo To Deliver Prime Speech For Yoruba Nation, As Osinbajo Visits Iwo Tomorrow

The Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, will tomorrow visit the Oluwo of Iwo, HIM Oba (Dr.) Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi.

Oluwo, who invited the general public, most especially traditional rulers, religious leaders, market women, political leaders across parties, opinion leaders, chiefs, union leaders etc to join him in welcoming the 2nd citizen of the federal republic of Nigeria expected all the invited guests to be seated by 11am.

A statement by Oluwo’s press secretary, Alli Ibraheem states ” The visitation is part of the registration of the Vice President with the good people of Iwoland in acknowledgement of their commitment to quality representation as bastion of progressive governance in Nigeria.

“The VP is coming to reinforce the position of Oluwo to a better Nigeria, Yoruba nation, Osun State and Iwo in particular most especially as it relates to the progress oriented programmes and policies of the ruling government. The avenue will equally be seized to register our appreciation and make demand to facilitate federal presence, infrastructural upgrade and other dividends of democracy.

“As a first class natural paramount ruler, Oluwo will make a prime speech on behalf of Yoruba nation and ultimately unveil his stance on Yoruba political leaders in assurance of more dividends of democracy”, the statement said.

Oba Akanbi enjoined the good people of Iwo to declare a rapturous welcome for Osinbajo, noting that it is our responsibility to accommodate our leaders irrespective of individual political attachment.

Oluwo described Osinbajo as the pride of Yoruba land, resourceful, virile and energetic who sees to the survival of Nigerians through mass oriented programmes.

He beseeched Yoruba nation to drum support for their son to ensure his administrative success as structured by the former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“Oluwo said no one in modern time has built human structure as Tinubu in Yoruba land, praying the source of natural crown (Yoruba) to endorse the spirit of Oduduwa in Tinubu.

“Tinubu is the architect of modern Nigeria while Osinbajo is the facilitator”.
