Osun Assembly Whip Bags Exemplary Leadership Award

The Chief Whip of Osun State House of Assembly, Mr Tunde Olatunji will on Thursday, 5th of September be conferred with the 2019 Exemplary Leadership Award by the Ife Business School IBS, Ile Ife.

According to a statement by the organisers, the event which will take place at the International Coference Centre, Obafemi Awolowo University also include the institution’s 5th Distinguished Lecture titled “Improving the State of Security in Nigeria, through Good Governance and Innovative Leadership”, which is to be delivered by the Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, General Gabriel Oloninsakin.

The statement reads that Mr Olatunji is selected for the award in recognition of his invaluable and exceptional contributions to National Development and that of Ife area.

Its explains that ” the award is bestowed on Nigerians who have displayed high integrity and noble character in their various contributions to National Development and Humanity”.

The legislator who is often critical of the culture of indiscriminate award prevalent in Nigeria, expressed delight for being found worthy of the particular honour.

He has in the last few years been honoured by many respected organisations in Nigeria and across Africa, including wives of Presidents and Heads of States of Africa countries who conferred an award on him in 2018 alongside the respected Africa patriot and Kenyan Professor of Law,Professor PLO Lumumba.
