Just In: Sultan Of Sokoto Declares Tuesday Eid-el-fitri

Leader of Muslims in Nigeria, The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III has announced the sighting of the moon in some parts of the North and declared tomorrow 4th June 2019 as 1st of Shawwal.

“The Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs wishes to inform the Nigerian Muslim ummah that the crescent of the month of Shawwal 1440 has been sighted in several places in Nigeria.

Therefore, tomorrow Tuesday, June 4, 2019 is the first day of Shawwal.
