The Kano State House of Assembly Speaker, Abdullahi Atta has been impeached.

27 out of 44 lawmakers in the House of Assembly impeached the Speaker on Monday morning.

Meanwhile, Alhassan Rurum has been elected and sworn in as the new Speaker of the House.
