NIEPA To Train Headteachers Across Southwest

In order to galvanise improved service delivery of Headteachers in the Management of the Girl Child Education in Nigeria, the National Institute for Educational Planning and Administration, NIEPA Nigeria, Ondo state, has embarked on a 5-day intensive training across the Southwest Geopolitical Zone of Nigeria for headteachers.
The training which would hold between January 28 and February 3, 2018 would enable the participants to improve positively in their respective areas.
In a Press Release signed by the body’s Chief Public Relations Officer, Mr Sola Ebire which was made available to newsmen in Akure, Ondo state capital at the weekend said NIEPA Nigeria has started a very robust and result oriented Capital Capacity Development training workshops for various categories of Education Planners and Managers in the 36 states of Nigeria, including FCT, Abuja.
According to NIEPA’s Director General, Prof. Lilian Salami maintained that these training workshops serves as part of NIEPA’s efforts in fulfilling the institute’s mission by developing a critical mass of Education sector planners and managers for the effective and efficient planning and management of the education system.
The workshops, according to her were National Capacity Development Programmes of 2017 capital project.
She posited that a 5-day Induction training for newly recruited Education Officers in Federal Ministry of Education begins in Kaduna from January 29th to 2nd February 2018, under the auspices of NIEPA.
She also said that a 5-day Strategic Management and Leadership training workshop for Federal Ministry of Education Officers aimed at improving their skills would begin on 1st February, 2018, in Abuja.
NIEPA Director General maintained that the institute has equally stepped up its determination to improve service delivery to both Science Education and Management of Peace and Security for displaced learners in Nigeria.
In view of this, NIEPA is organizing a training workshop on Science Education; Early Child Care Development Education (ECCDE) and Security Education for the displaced students.
