Give The children The Best Of Care, Omoworare Charges Parents, Government
The Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District, Babajide Omoworare has felicitated with Nigerian children on the 2018 Children’s Day celebration, charging them to be of good conduct for an assured and dependable future for Nigeria.
In a statement made available to the CityMirrorNews by his media assistant, Mr Tunde Dairo, the Senator admonished governments at every level to be concerned about matters affecting children saying that the future of the nation and it place in the comity of nations in the future depends on present investment in the young ones.
According to him, “children must be given the best attention and nurtured to be dependable adults if Nigerian is conscious of a guaranteed future. we owe them both moral and physical upbringing necessary.”
Omoworare states further that “It is the responsibility of the parents to give children the very best of care and lessons necessary to become good adults in the future to be able to uphold the nation as good citizens make good families and good families make good community and nation.”
While expressing confidence in the capacity of Nigerian children, Omoworare admonished governments to give priority to healthy living and education which are primary social responsibilities for balanced development children.
The legislator is particularly concerned about vulnerable and indigent children whom he maintains constitute substantial threat to the survival of the country unless government assumed the role of illocus parentis to provide care and opportunities for them.
Senator Omoworare submitted therefore that, “Federal and State governments must ensure the enforcement of the Child Right Law to the letters, while pleading with states that have not done so to follow suit in the overall interest of a peaceful, progressive and productive Nigeria
