Osun Council Boss Commissions Newly Built Office Secretariat Complex

The Executive Secretary of Irepodun South LCDA, Osun state, Hon Adekunle Oloyede has commissioned a newly constructed set of office secretariat complex in Erin-Osun.
Oloyede, while unveiling the well furnished office complex stated that it was a phase one of the projects embarked upon by the council due to shortage of funds.
He explained that they came in when the council was dying but, the committee resuscitated it and make it alive again.
Highliting some of the projects executed by the committee, Oloyede affirmed that the committee having realised that health is wealth, therefore, renovated Oke-La health, purchased and distributed health facilities to the entire health centers in the community.
According to Oloyede, “Free health test and treatment was organized for the community in collaboration with NYSC as well as distribution of insecticidal nets to the people of the town to prevent spread of malaria. The council also distributed save delivery kits to pregnant women.
In the area of peace and security, the council boss said the committee organized several stakeholders’ meetings to ensure peace and harmony within the council area.
He added that the council also provided potable water and repaired all the major boreholes and water systems in the community.
According to him ” when we came in, our Community Development Council (CDC) was almost dying, we resuscitated it by introducing meetings”.
“We all know health is wealth. In the area of health, we renovated Oke-La health center. We purchased and distributed health facilities to the entire health centers in the community. Free health test and treatment was organized for the community in collaboration with NYSC. We distributed insecticidal nets to the people of our town to prevent spread of malaria. We also distributed save delivery kits to our pregnant women”.
“In the area of provisions of potable water, we repaired all the major boreholes and water systems in our community, in terms of road maintenance, we have graded majority of the streets in our community. We wish to do more than street grading but our limited financial resources did not permit us,” he added.
He appreciated the efforts of Governor Rauf Aregbesolas as well as His Royal Highness, Oba Yusuf Adekunle Oyagbadun ii, the Elerin of Erin Osun and his Council of Chiefs for giving the council the opportunity to serve the people.
