Security: LG Chairman Donates Patrol Van To Police In Osun
The Chairman, Irepodun South Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Erin-Osun, Osun State, Honorable Adekunle Oloyede, popularly known as ‘Jay-Kay’ has donated a patrol van to the Erin-Osun Police Division.
The gesture according to the council boss was to compliment the effort of Governor Gboyega Oyetola in his bid to ensure that Osun remains peaceful and habitable for residents despite the security challenges currently facing the country.
Oloyede who was very happy for the procurement of the patrol van said it would also boost effectiveness of the Nigeria Police in Erin-Osun community in discharging their duties to protect the lives and property of citizens.
While presenting the procured van to Mr. Saka Oyetunde, the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the Erin-Osun Division, Hon Oloyede charged the police of their responsibilities in protecting the lives and properties of the people as one of the major responsibilities of the security.
The DPO of the Division responded by thanking the council chairman for the gesture.
He promised to continue in taking the security of lives and properties within his jurisdiction secured.
He further said that now that the chairman has procured another patrol van for them, it will also go a long way in improving the level of their network and boost the morale while on duty.
