NACETEM Boss Bags Pan-regional Leadership Award For Promoting Science, Technology

In recognition of his contribution towards the promotion of science, technology and innovation in Nigeria, the Trans-African Youth Initiative (TAYI) on Wednesday awarded Professor Okechukwu Ukwuoma, the Director-General/CEO of the National Centre for Technology Management (NACETEM) for his commitment to promoting the sector.
According to the TAYI, Prof Ukwuoma was honoured for repositioning the sector towards meeting the Change Agenda and diversification efforts of the present administration in the country.
The Country Representative of Trans-African Youth Initiative, Ambassador Kehinde Idowu while presenting the award lauded NACETEM for its pivotal role in the use of science and technology as a key driver of the Change Agenda of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
Idowu added, “Nigerian would have become the leading country in science and technology hadn’t been we have more of the agencies like NACETEM that are also committed to the advancement of the sector”.
Receiving the award, Professor Ukwuoma described the honour as a testament to the avowed commitment of members of staff of NACETEM to take Nigeria to the forefront in the world and technology.
The NACETEM boss who dedicated the honour to members of staff of the agency, promised to continue in his good work at ensuring that Nigeria takes her rightful place amidst comity of nations in science and technology.
