Ramandan: Oyetola Enjoins Muslims To Pray For Sustainable Devt In Osun

As Muslims begin the holy month of Ramadan, the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Osun, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola has urged Mulslims to pray for peace, progress and sustainable development in the state.

Oyetola in a Ramadan message to Muslims described Ramadan as a sacred month that all Muslims must maximize to seek forgiveness and favour of Almighty Allah especially for continued peace in the state of Osun.

He said “Ramadan is a time of reverence, generosity and spiritual introspection when Allah accept prayers.

According to Oyetola, the state is gradually approaching a political era that requires prayer, unity and collective responsibility for the people of the state to continue to leave in harmony.

“I congratulate the Muslim Humar and entire people of the state for this year holy month,Ramadan Kareem, Ramdan is not like any other month; its purpose is to rid man of those habits which he has accumulated throughout the rest of the year. It is a month that prepares man for the remaining eleven months by teaching him discipline and self-control.

“This blessed month has been sent by Allah to His bondsmen so that he can create a connection and draw men closer to Allah by reaping the many rewards in the holy month.  In this month we will be given many opportunities, to reform ourselves and seek forgiveness for our sins. This is a month of reformation and self-reflection”.

“We must however use this month to pray for Governor Rauf Aregbesola, and the state, most importantly as we are approaching the gubernatorial election, that Allah may  protect us and ensure peaceful political transition in the state.” Oyetola said.
