APC Mortgaging Future Of Osun Through Covert Huge Debt- Lere-oyewunmi

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, Akogun Kamorudeen Lere-Oyewumi, has berated the All Progressive Congress (APC) led government in the state for allegedly plunged the state into debt in secrecy.
Oyewumi, a gubernatorial aspirant contesting on the platform of PDP said the only legacy APC is known for is ‘borrowing’, saying the ruling party is careless about what happen after they have left the office.
He said “everybody knows that the legacy of APC is borrowing because they careless about what happen to the government after they have left office and they they continued with that wasteful disposition until the state becomes heavily indebted.
The former Chairman of Irewole Local Government said APC noted that the APC led government “has thrown the people of the state into serious financial mess for lack of planning, lack of clear understanding of the people’s needs and paucity of knowledge of the socio-economic configuration of the state”.
Oyewumi, who was at the State Secretariat of the PDP to express his intention to run for the September 22, 2018 gubernatorial election in the state, said he would bring his vast experience in governance to bear if elected as governor.
He noted that there was nothing for Governor Rauf Aregbesola and other members of APC to be boasting of as achievement because the money committed to those projects are too expensive.
The immediate past commissioner of the National Population Commission faulted the style of governor Aregbesola administration,saying the governor had placed the state in debt.
He hinted that the quantum of debt burden placed on the state by the present administration was not commensurate with the acclaimed infrastructural development in the state.
Akogun oyewunmi maintained that the mega schools constructed by the government in the state could not justify the output as students performance was on decline.
He maintained that it was only PDP that has solution to their suffering,submitting that the people of the state had never been submitted to this level of suffering.
“There is nothing like infrastructural development in Osun State. If you aware of the quantum of debt incurred by the present government. Move round the local government, you will see that most of the road built by the money borrowed have started loosing value.”
The community development expert however vowed to use its administrative acumen and political experience to change the face of governance in osun state if given opportunity to occupy the first seat in the state.
He noted that if given opportunity to govern the state people of the state would be the centre piece of his administration as human empowerment and development would be accorded top priority.
He explained that he was the best candidate for the party as his tentacles spread across the state and all his investments and economic interests were domiciled in the state.
He However appealed to the leadership of the PDP in the state to give all aspirants a level playing ground and promised to support any candidate that emerged through fair and transparent primary.
In his remark, the chairman of Peoples Democratic party in osun state, Hon. soji Adagunodo said Akogun Oyewumi was a committed party member, that had contributed significantly to sustainability of the party in the state.
Adagunodo hinted that Lere Oyewumi had an intimidating credentials that give him an added advantage as best candidate for the party.
He however assured the aspirants with his teeming supporters that besieged the party secretariat that all aspirants would be given equal opportunity to test their popularity.
