Kano Hisbah Board confiscates 2 Trailer Loads of Beer

The Kano State Hisbah Board yesterday, Tuesday said it had confiscated two trailers fully loaded with cartons of beer.
The Board’s Public Relations Officer, Malam Adamu Yahaya, said that the truck carrying the beer was apprehended around Zaria road on Monday morning during a special patrol.
He said, “We received information through our intelligence that two trailers entering Kano is carrying cartons of beer.
“Our men on duty apprehended the driver and motor mate s, we screened and took them to the Magistrates’ Court for prosecution under Kano State Law No 4 of 2004 which bathe n the manufacture and use of alcohol in the state”.
He further stated that the board has received 477 cases on marriage dispute, debt, drug abuse, disputes between neighbours, immorality, intimidation, lost and found items, breastfeeding, among others.
Yahaya advised the public to shun any form of immorality and be peaceful.
