MRS Ajimobi Advocates Woman Deputy Governor In Oyo 2019

Mrs Florence  Ajimobi, wife of the  Oyo state governor has made a strong recommendation to all the political parties in Oyo state particularly the All Progressives Congress to pick women as their deputy Governors as being done in some  States in the South West.

She also called on women to brace up and take part in the coming local government election pointing out that nothing stops them from contesting as council  chairmen.

The first Lady made the recommendation in Ibadan on Wednesday while speaking with news men after giving food items like rice, cartons of biscuits,fruit juices,toiletries and cash gifts to children from orphanage  homes in the state capital

The occasion which was to mark her 59th birthday anniversary was rounded off with a thanksgiving service attended by creme de la creme in the society

Mrs Ajimobi noted that no woman has ever worked as a Deputy governor in the state explaining that the state was blessed with articulate and intelligent women to assist would be governors.

The First Lady stated that it was not enough to restrict women to dancing and winning at party meetings alone but strive to take active position by seeking chairmanship positions in the state.

Mrs Ajimobi pleaded with men to encourage their wives who are interested in politics assuring that reasonable women should know that they should be submissive to their husbands.

She thanked  her husband for encouraging her on any program that touches the lives of the underprivileged in the society adding that this administration would not relent on its efforts to positively touch the lives of the masses.

One of the beneficiaries,Mrs Maria.J.thanked Mrs Ajimobi for her benevolece and wished her long life and prosperity in good health adding that She cannot forget her service to mankind.
