Osun 2018: Leader Urges Parties To Embrace Merit

The candidacy of Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola as the governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has been described as a wise decision by members of the ruling party in the state and all loyal members should team up for his eventual victory.
This was the recommendation of a community leader,Elder Simeon Adedeji while interracting with news men at Ipetumodu,the head quarters of Ife North local government in Osun state.
Adedeji said that it was an archaic idea for politicians to insist on zoning a particular position to a senatorial area stressing that it was not in tandem with democratic norms.
“Tell me ,who among the aspirants can match Oyetola in administration?Sentiment apart, He has all it takes to govern the state and continue the good work of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.The facts are there.
“The leadership of APC in its wisdom opted for direct primary knowing fully well that is the best option for a hitch free and victory in September,Elder Adedeji pointed out.
He explained that it was a wrong decision to hurriedly defect to another party because an aspirant lost out in the primary adding that the exercise should not be a do or die affair.
Adedeji who is a Lagos based business man said that he is not a politician stressed that all aggrieved politicians should resort to resolving their conflict internally rather than going to courts.
He explained that Oyetola who a successful insurancemagnate has been a credible man who would defeat his rival to be produced by any other party adding that his humility and fear of God put him above others.
The Community leader disclosed that immediately the residents of Ipetumodu and other five towns and communities in Ife North heard that Oyetola was the APC candidate,there was jubilation pointing out that he was sure of his victory in the September 22 gubernatorial election.
