Ex-convict Docked Again Over Alleged stealing in Osun

A 53-year old ex-convict, Adedeji Olumuyiwa has been dragged before an Osogbo Magistrate court for allegedly stealing three empty crates of minerals.
Olumuyiwa who just left Ilesa Prison Custody where he served a jail term for stealing was again docked for stealing some food items.
Police Prosecutor, Mr Fagboyinbo Abiodun had told the court that the accused unlawfully broke into the shop of one Abimbola Comfort.
Abiodun said that the suspect committed the offence on May 26, 2017 around Government Technical College, Osogbo where he stole half bag of rice, Indomie noodles and some onions.
Other stolen items according to Abiodun includes some eggs, vegetable oil and palm oil, everything valuing N40,000.
The alleged offence according to the Prosecutor was contrary to and punishable under Section 390 and 413(1) of Criminal Code Cap 34, Volume II, Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2003.
The accused however pleaded not guilty to the allegations leveled against him when the charges were read to him.
His Defence Counsel, Dada Adeyinka applied for the bail of the accused in the most liberal terms.
Adeyinka assured the court that reliable sureties would stand for the accused and he would not jump bail if granted.
In his ruling, Magistrate Olusola Aluko, granted accused bail in the sum of N25,000 with one surety in like sum.
He, thereafter, adjourned the case till July 10, 2017 for hearing.
