Ramadan: Lasun Yusuff Urges Muslims To Pray For President Buhari Quick Recovery
Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Sulaimon Lasun Yussuff has called on Muslim faithful to use the period of Ramadan closer to Allah so that we could get His favour and mercy.
He said that as Muslim faithful commences fasting, they should use the period to pray for the country and President Mohammodu Buhari for a quick recovery.
The Deputy Speaker in a press statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Wole Oladimeji, he said “fasting period is a time for us to reflect on our activities and time pray to Allah for the forgiveness of our sins.
According to him, what the nation needs at this point in time is fervent prayer, therefore, this period is a good opportunity to be more close to Allah and to our prayers answered.
He however, appealed to Nigerians to give President Mohammodu Buhari led administration a chance to clean the nation of aged long decay in the country.
He said thar the rot in the nation can not be cleaned over night, therefore, it would take time before thing could get better, it is easy to destroy but very difficult to build.
He promised that the House of Representatives would continue to support this government in its desire and fight to rid corruption in our system.
