Xmas Baby Gets Blessing In Oyo

A 27 year old Lady, Oluwadamilola Adetimehin burst into tears of joy at the Oyo state Hospital Ring Road Ibadan on Monday when she received unexpected gifts from the wife of the state Governor, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi.
Oluwadamilola who put a baby girl to bed by nine o’clock Monday morning disclosed that her happiness was multi dimensional explaining that she gave birth on DEC 25,the day marking the birth of Jesus Christ ,the visit of the first Lady and the gifts showered on her by Mrs.Ajimobi
She said that She was particularly happy for the cash gift and other needs of the new baby freely given to her at this austere period when she has not dreamt of where the hospital money would come from.
“I have been hearing of the kindness of Madam on the media but I cannot dream of being one of the beneficiaries. I came to this hospital on Okada during labour on Saturday. Thank God I have a safe delivery and the fear of hospital bill has gone. Thank God for his favour through pour mother”. She said
The Lady declined to disclose the identity of her husband’s whereabout but simply said ” I work in a private organisation.
She commended the manageement of the hospital for the good care She received from the nurses,mid wives ,doctors and other health personnel in the hospital pointing out that the allegation of poor treatment of patients in the hospital no longer exists under this administration.
The Commissioner for Women Affairs,Mrs.Atinuke Osunkoya who represented Mrs.Ajimobi congratulated the new mother and assured that the state government would not relent on her commitment to sustain the health care of the masses
Speaking with reporters,the commissioner advised the parents to treat male and female children with equal love and affection adding that neither of the sex should be discriminated against.
The Chief Matron of the Hospital, Mrs.Elizabeth Oluronmbi said that her prayer to God was that this government should end well and get an equally good successor.
