Orile Agege 2017: I Will Use Ambode’s Initiative for Good Governance-Adeboye Adebayo
—-Promises to Complement the Efforts of their Leaders in Bringing Bar of Development to the area
A Chairmanship aspirant in the upcoming Lagos local council elections from Orile Agege (Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Mr. Adeboye Adebayo has promised that he will use the good governance initiative of the state Governor; Akinwunmi Ambode among other workable developmental tools to bring developments to the c f elected into office.
He made the remarks while addressing newsmen after attending a public community based programme in the community.
According to him, the political leaders of Orile Agege especially those that have been at the local government before did their best in terms of bringing development and good governance to the community and all he needs to do if elected, is to raise the bar of developments a little bit higher.
“For me, bringing better governance to our community will be an easy task because our pragmatic Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has made himself a role model and a leading example to emulate in delivering dividends of democracy to our people hence no room for mistakes” Adebayo said.
He further stated “More so you will agree with me that our political leaders here especially those that have served in the council before from Hon Taofeek Adaranijo’s led administration in the council where my Egbons; J.S Babatunde and Afolabi Ayantayo also served as Vice Chairman and Secretary to the Local Government respectively to my able big bros Hon Akeem Opeifa led caretaker administration to the current Sole Administrator, talking about my brother; Hon James Agboola, you will discover that there have been a steady developments in our community and all I need to do, if elected is to raise the bar of developments a little bit higher and build on their efforts to make things better for our people”
The Chairmanship hopeful describe Orile Agege as a lucky community that can boast of experienced politicians in the progressive fold which has made it practically impossible for opposition parties to penetrate.
“Orile Agege LCDA is a lucky community that can boast of experienced politicians like Lagos State Speaker, Rt. Hon. Obasa, Hon. Taofeek Adaranijo; a former Council Chairman and currently House Rep member, Hon. Samuel Adejare; a former lawmaker both at the state and federal level and now a Commissioner of Environment in Lagos, Hon. Yinka Ogundimu; a lawmaker currently rep our second constituency, Hon Kayode Opeifa; a former Commissioner here in Lagos, Hon Akeem Opeifa.
“Former Executive Secretary, Hon. Prince Sunday Ajayi; my able party Chairman at the Local Government and Elders like Alhaji Safari Adaranijo and Prof Samuel among other leaders. All of them are doing very well for the developments of this council at various level, I appreciate them and proud of them and I pray and hope that very soon, I will join them to bring more developments in terms of infrastructural facilities and life more abundant for our people” Adebayo concluded”.
He thanked the people for their support towards his ambition and he urges them to continue spreading the gospel of “Igbesoke Orile Agege, dan dan ni” to more people so that they will all be part of the “God’s own project” which is the theme of his ambition.
