Man, 20 Docked For Stealing Laptop Computers, Handsets In Osun

A 20-year-old man, Dada Adebayo has been dragged before a Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo for allegedly stealing computer laptops, phones among other valuables belonging to one Engineer Olusola Adeyeye in the state.
The accused person who claimed to be an aluminium expert was gathered to have stolen items valued N212,000.
Briefing the court, Police prosecutor, Bukola Adekunle, had told the court that the accused person on February 2, 2017 about 1:25pm at Saka Raji Street, Kobongbogboe Area,Osogbo stole one Hp Laptop, valued (N92,000), one Dell Laptop, valued (N70,000), one Blackberry phone (Q10) and Noveto handset both valued (N50,000) and Ipad Phone which value is yet to be known, all belonging to Engr. Olusola Adeyeye
Adekunle said the offence committed was contrary to and punishable under Section 413 and 390 (9), of the Criminal Code Cap. 34 Volume.11 Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2003.
Meanwhile, the defendant had pleaded not guilty of the offences preferred against him.
The Defense Counsel, Bose Dada applied for the bail of her client in the most liberal terms.
Dada who assured the court that the accused would not jump bail if granted said reliable sureties would stand for him.
In her ruling, Magistrate Fatimah Sodamade granted the accused bail in the sum of N500,000 with one surety in like sum.
She later adjourned the case till September 11, 2017 for hearing.
