‘The Face Of A Party Determines The Fate Of The Party’, Says Kayode Oduoye

A governorship aspirant  in Osun state, Dr.Kayode Oduoye today asserted that the face of a party determines the fate of the party, an aphorism guaranteeing the victory of the party comes 2018 guber poll.

Oduoye who was the guest on the weekly radio program of Splash FM, Ibadan, said his party, the PDP is restructuring, reorganizing and repositioning to make edge way in the forthcoming elections in the country.

The PDP’s flag-bearer during the 2015 house of representatives elections said,  it is time for the party to have a new face that can change its fate.

He attributed the major by-election being conducted and won by the PDP in the state to unquestionable character of the candidates presented by the party.

Oduoye, who expresed confidence in the popularity of the party said “two by elections were won despite the sell acclaimed performance of the governor, emphasizing that   “the candidates presented are easy sell, no so to speak stains, no allegations, no offence during previous opportunities”.

Speaking on the bill that he is  not too young to govern the state, the business man turned politician said he agreed with the statement credited to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, that youths will never be given opportunity to serve but must fight for it .

“We have always allowed the daddies, uncles even the grandpas, but unfortunately these age bracket  have never salvaged the situation.

On the agitation for restructuring, he said restructuring must be holistic to make the Nigeria nation work like other nations.

When asked about the situation in Osun, state which he wants to govern, Oduoye said his ambition to rule the state is premised on the identified deficiency in the present administration which requires need brain.

“if dry bones can rise again, Osun will rise from its comatose and fresh breathe will stimulate it to work”, he stressed.
