NBA shortlists 12 candidates for Court of Appeal Justices.

The Nigerian Bar Association, has shortlisted 12 candidates for appointment as Justices of Court of Appeal, after screening a total of 187 Expression of Interest applications from Nigerian Lawyers across the world.
The successful candidates include:

The screening exercise which ran for two days, was sequel to a request made by President of the Court of Appeal, Honourable Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa,CFR to the President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Abubakar Mahmoud, SAN for nomination of “suitably qualified candidates for consideration for appointment to the Court of Appeal.”

A panel of eminent lawyers, including the NBA President, scrutinized the applications. Other members of the panel include Chief T. J. O. Okpoko, SAN, Mallam Yusuf Ali, SAN, Chief Charles Edosowan, SAN Dr. Garba Tetengi, SAN, mni, Dr. Balkisu Saidu, Office of the Vice President of Nigeria and Isiaka Abiola Olagunju, General Secretary of NBA.

The list of nominated Candidates has since been forwarded to the President of Appeal Court.
