Osun Assembly Considers 1999 Constitution’s Alteration Bill
Osun State House of Assembly under the leadership of RT. Honourable Najeem Salam on Tuesday considered the 1999 constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria fourth alterations bill 2017.

In a statement signed by the Chairman, House Committee On Information And Strategy, Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye revealed that the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Adegboye Akintunde announced at the plenary the receipt of a letter from the National Assembly and read out the section of the 1999 Constitution meant for.
Hon Adegboye therefore implored members to go through document for proper understanding that would facilitate meaningful input.
The Deputy Speaker said the input of the house was key as posterity would judge their actions, saying the House must critically study the document to avert wrong decisions.
He noted that the House would continue to make laws and support any legislation that has direct impact on the lives of the citizenry.
The Majority Leader, Hon. Timothy Owoeye moved a motion that the lawmakers should be allowed to study the document pending its consideration at a future date, a motion that was granted as seconded by Hon.Wasiu Adebayo.
The House also urged the executive to present their budget proposal in time to allow the House to draw timetable for its considerations.
