Osun Govt Announces HoS Retirement
The State Government of Osun has announced the voluntary retirement of the Head of Service, Mr Sunday Olayinka Owoeye.
This is contained in a release made available to CityMirrorNews by the Media Adviser to the Governor, Mr Sola Fasure.
According to the statement, Mr Owoeye put in his notice of retirement on Monday October 16 and has proceeded immediately on terminal leave, which will last for 90 days.
Mr Owoeye joined the Civil Service in the old Oyo State on March 3, 1983 and transferred his services to Osun at the creation of the state in 1991.
He was appointed Permanent Secretary in September 2012 and elected Head of Service by his peers immediately.
Mr Owoeye served meritoriously with integrity and fear of God.
He is a thoroughbred technocrat who embodied the best tradition of the civil service.
His services to the state are invaluable and his departure will be hard to fill.
The State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, accepted his retirement, congratulates him on his retirement from service, wishes him a blissful and glorious post-service life and prays that he will be successful in all his endeavours.
