Yoruba Community Hosts Oluwo in Canada
The umbrella body of Yoruba people in the Canada, the Yoruba Community Association (YCA) is set to host a frontline traditional ruler in Osun State, the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi as their Special Guest at a town hall meeting tomorrow, Sunday April 16.
The event will take place by 0400p.m.at room 305, Thistledown Community Center, 925 Albion road (albion and islington intersection), Canada.
A press statement by the Oluwo’s Press Secretary, Ibrahim Alli, on Friday said Oba Akanbi who is a member of the great YCA when he was in Canada will participate in questions and answers among yoruba nation based in greater Toronto area (GTA) , Canada.
YCA president, Chief Mrs Sola Olubunmi, said that the royal and historic visit of Oluwois being hosted by all the 19 affiliated association, including Osun State Descendants Association, Ibadan Descendants Development Union, Kwara State Association of Nigeria Canada, Ekiti-Kete Cultural Association, Owo Community Association, Ijebu Heritage Association, Ile-Oluji Cultural Association and others.
